Description

This lager is extremely crisp and light with a Mexican twist of lime and slight salty flavours running through it. At 4% it isn't too strong and could be classed as a session lager, ideal for a summers day.

First Impressions - Nose and Appearance

Cerveza's appearance tells you alot about the beer before you drink it. It's light in colour, and this golden lager has great clarity to it. There is good carbonation in this, with some light head on it. The aroma of this one doesnt give too much away but there is a whiff of lime to go with this light lager smells.

Taste:

Immediately you would say this is an easy drinker. In terms bitterness there is none, which makes it very smooth, added with with the sweet citrusy flavour of lime and a pinch of sea salt it becomes a very nice combination. The sea salt isn't as scary as it may seem and just adds a nice bit of edge to cut through the citrusy lime, which itself isn't too overpowering either. It has that classic light lager flavour coming from what I suspect is a pale malt and overall the flavour of this is very nice indeed.

Body:

This lager is extremely light and crisp on the tongue, which does lean it towards being a definite winner for a summer beer. The mouthfeel is fresh, with high carbonation and a thin body to it.

Overall

SCORE: 4/5

Overall, this lager is light and summery which makes it a joy to drink. Its definitely one you could have another one of and the lime edge means it would go well with food such as a seafood BBQ or on its own. A must try!
